Chalet Karlov - doors and hidden door frames DORSIS in an above-standard house.

The combination of a wooden building and a monolithic building is also reflected in the interior, where carefully patterned wood dominates, complemented by one-color surfaces in dark shades. The dialogue with the architect gave rise to a unique generous concept of a house on exceptional building plots in the solitude of Křivoklát meadows and forests.

The building in question is a single-storey detached family house with a built-up area of 557 mXNUMX.

The net floor area of the house is 447 square meters. It is a combination of a wooden building and a monolithic building, where two main materials with a wooden structure and a sloping roof protrude from a terrain pedestal with a flat green roof.

The construction site is secluded, in the Křivoklát region. This is an exceptional building plot in an undeveloped area. In the neighborhood there are only meadows, forests and municipal dirt roads.

House as part of the landscape. A house that fulfills the investor's desire to leave the city.

The material concept of the house consists of two elements: an off-road platform and two wooden chalets. The two masses of the chalets - wooden buildings with a massive load-bearing structure - contrast with the rest of the house not only in form and material, but especially in the unique interior open space. In one of them there is a private part of the investor - a bedroom with facilities, in the other, on the contrary, a social part of the house - a living room with a kitchen. The generosity of the banquet hall with a terrace, the unique view with an open gable, the warmth of the stone fireplace and the intimacy of the hidden gallery are other aspects of this space. The dialogue with the architect gave rise to a unique generous concept. In the approach to detail, however, the investor preferred simple to banal solutions, which are further reflected in the cleanliness of the whole house. The house is built from a combination of a monolith and a wooden building, which is also reflected in the interior.
