LINUS- A UNIQUE SYSTEM
FLOOR MOLDINGS

The skirting board consists of a hidden aluminum profile combined with a design-variable insert, which in the end forms one plane with the wall - no protrusions, no disturbing elements. In addition, there is no need to solve any problems with peeling or falling strips in the corners or dust deposited on the strips themselves.

HIDDEN FLOOR
LINE BAR

Hidden floor - skirting boards LINUS 13 and LINUS 15 are a design element that completes the minimalist detail to perfection with the hidden DORSIS door frame.
The installed skirting board creates space for mounting inserts of various materials. It can be sweetened with the shade of the floor covering, door or wall. The insert is not part of the delivery of the skirting board, it is always solved individually.
An LED strip or bar can be inserted into the modified insert, which will create a unique effect with backlighting. To end floor moldings right - left milled ends with a length of 480 mm are intended for the hidden DORSIS door frame or BELPORT unlined housing. It is an aluminum profile designed to be anchored to the wall in the rough phase of construction, ie before plastering the masonry or cladding SDK for dry construction.

  • The rigid construction of the aluminum prol ensures high strength, the total length of the plinth is 2400 mm
  • The plinth is suitable for masonry, SDK partitions and other dry construction and allows the insertion of inserts of various materials
  • they are installed in masonry partitions using assembly glue, they are anchored in SDK partitions by means of a screw
  • for a different height of the visual insert, the plinth is installed above the level of a clean floor or is sunk into the floor for a lower height
  • milled ends (right - left) in a total length of 480 mm are intended for the end of the plinth to the hidden door frame and the unlined housing
  • The LED strip for lighting the plinth is calculated individually and coordination with the electrical installation is necessary

FLUSH BASEBOARDS FOR SDK AND MASONRY

This is an indisputable advantage of hidden skirting boards. For a perfect match with the interior, you can choose from 2 types of 9mm thick superfinish inserts. Do you already have yours? Need backlit using LED technology?

APPLICATION OF PLASTERS

When applying plaster by machine, the edge of the aluminium profile is used as a plasterer, defining the plane along which the plaster is applied.
The mouldings are fitted into the rough construction according to the specified height of the view insert and the floor composition.

SKIRTING BOARD INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

  • we generally recommend the installation of the skirting board only after pouring rough floors, anhydride and screeds; in this way it is possible to better achieve the required height of the plinth and design insert
  • the basis is the exact determination of the height of the final floor, the standard height of the bar is 60 mm, for larger plinth heights it is enough to anchor the profile above the zero floor, for lower heights the profile is sunk below the zero floor
  • the upper edges of the skirting board profiles must be in a horizontal line, we recommend using a cross laser during installation
  • before installation, it is necessary to determine the flatness of the wall with a spirit level and determine the depth of the plinth settlement accordingly; in case of unevenness of the wall, it is necessary to line the skirting board from the wall so that the plaster has min. 10 mm
  • after measuring the required length, the skirting board is cut off using a suitable tool, we recommend a circular miter saw with a blade for cutting aluminum, the cutting speed will affect the quality of the cut; for the outer corner we cut at an angle of 45 °, for the inner corner we make a perpendicular cut
  • the cut bar is placed in the required position and fastened to the wall with a suitable glue, for SDK partitions it is anchored to the SDK construction by means of self-tapping screws
  • in the place of unevenness of the masonry walls and in the corners of the room, we recommend anchoring the skirting board mechanically using hammer-in dowels
  • universal right-left milled terminals are designed for connecting the plinth to concealed DORSIS door frames and liners; the end piece is cut and placed in the wall next to the door frame and mechanically anchored to the profile of the door frame or case by means of self-tapping screws
  • after plastering the wall or applying SDK boards, painting and laying the final floor, the prepared design inserts are inserted and glued into the skirting board

A historic villa near the center of Olomouc lost its significant functionalist face with an insensitive transformation in the nineties. With the new owners came a complete reconstruction, which breathed back the atmosphere of the XNUMXs into the building and brought a prestigious award.
The architects have created a discreet concept in the sloping plot, which does not disturb the natural panorama or be visible from the public road. The artistically mastered material abstracts to the subtle elegance of an unpretentious building, where, despite the creative details, it is obvious not to be humble.

The intention of the current modifications was to uncover the authentic layer of the original house and restore the atmosphere of the 30s. For the needs of a large family, it was necessary to increase the capacity. The new layer approaches the original parts with piety and respect, but at the same time they are not afraid to assert themselves confidently.
