DORSIS hidden skirting boards - good design starts from the floor

Floor plinths are sometimes mistakenly considered an insignificant detail. However, the opposite is true, an inappropriate solution usually hits you in the eye. Dorsis Linus hidden skirting boards represent a sure aesthetic solution.

Floor covering manufacturers usually supply a range of skirting boards and accessories as part of their range, which, although they cover the joint between the floor and the wall and protect the base of the masonry, do not meet the demanding requirements of architects and designers for quality and modern minimalist design.

Flush baseboards LINUS offer the advantage of a sophisticated, yet simple product that can be used for various wall constructions and for every type of floor. The system is based on aluminum profiles with a height of 60 mm and a thickness of 13 mm (LINUS 13 series) or 15 mm (LINUS 15 series), which are glued to the masonry or screwed to the wall. The installation takes place at the stage of finishing the rough floor and before applying plaster, plasterboard cladding or wall cladding, the upper edge of the profile serves as a plaster or cladding edge. The height of the plinth can be adjusted individually.

Concealed LINUS plinths are also easy to connect to with a simple end DORSIS hidden door frames and casings and the staircase is not a problem either – the plinth runs smoothly along the steps to a higher or lower floor. The plinth profiles can also be additionally recessed into an already plastered wall (which, of course, requires precise cutting of grooves of the appropriate depth).

You achieve exceptional aesthetics when you install the hidden bar with an insert - this can be matched with the floor covering, door or wall. The standard is lacquered MDF 8mm thick in any RAL shade, perfection can be achieved by applying a floor covering insert (again 8mm thick) or cut ceramic tiles. The result is a plinth in the same design as the floor covering, i.e. true minimalism in every detail. At the top of the design ladder is the hidden plinth LINUS with a modified insert with an LED strip - the nighttime linear backlight flush with the floor will create a truly unique visual impression.
