LINUS 15 profile designed for plastering into masonry partitions as well as cladding of drywall panels with a thickness of 15 mm in dry mortarless construction, allows to insert a 9 mm thick insert, the length of the baseboard is 2400 mm.
The concealed baseboards are made of aluminium alloys according to EN-AW 6060 and heat-treated in the T6 states, guaranteeing good resistance to atmospheric and chemical effects.

LINUS CONCEALED BASEBOARD

The LINUS 13 and LINUS 15 concealed baseboards are a design element that completes the minimalistic detail of concealed door frames by DORSIS into perfection. The installed baseboard creates space for mounting inserts of various materials. This can be matched with the shade of the floor, door or wall. The insert is not part of the delivery of the baseboard, it is always designed individually. An LED strip or bar can be inserted into the modified insert, which will create a unique effect with backlighting. Right – left milled terminal pieces with a length of 480 mm serve as the ending for the baseboards for DORSIS concealed door frames or BELPORT frameless pockets. These are aluminium profiles designed for anchoring to the wall in the rough phase of the construction, i.e. before plastering or drywall cladding. The concealed baseboards are made of aluminium alloys according to EN-AW 6060 and heat-treated in the T6 states, guaranteeing good resistance to atmospheric and chemical effects.

  • the baseboard is suitable for masonry walls, drywalls and other dry structures, and allows the insertion of various materials
  • the profiles are installed using a structural adhesive for masonry walls and screws for drywalls
  • for a different height of the visible insert, the baseboard is installed above the level of the floor or is recessed into the floor to achieve a lower height
  • right – left milled terminal pieces with a length of 480 mm serve as the ending for the baseboards for concealed door frames or frameless pockets
  • the LED strip to light the baseboard is calculated individually and coordination with the electrical installation is necessary
  • the visual insert is not part of the delivery, but delivery is possible upon order with individual calculation

BASEBOARD INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

  • we generally recommend installing the baseboard after finishing the rough flooring, anhydride screed and mastics; this way allows to better achieve the required baseboard and design insert height
  • the basis is the exact determination of the height of the final floor; the standard baseboard height is 60 mm; for higher baseboard, just anchor the profile above the zero floor; for lower baseboard, recess the profile below the zero floor
  • the upper edges of the baseboard profiles need to be in a horizontal line; we recommend using a cross-line laser
  • prior to installation, it is also necessary to determine the flatness of the wall using a spirit level and determine the depth of the baseboard installation accordingly; if the wall is not perfectly flat, the baseboards needs to be padded so that the plaster has at least 10 mm where the wall is uneven
  • after measuring the required length, the baseboard is cut using a suitable tool; we recommend using a circular miter saw with blade for cutting aluminium; the cutting speed will affect the cut quality; for an outer corner, cut at an angle of 45°, and make a perpendicular cut for an inner corner
  • the cut baseboard is placed into the required position and fixed to the wall using a suitable adhesive; for drywall partitions, the baseboard is fixed using self-tapping screws for drywall panels
  • in places where masonry walls are uneven and in the corners of the room, we recommend anchoring the baseboard mechanically using hammer-in dowels
  • to connect the baseboard to concealed door frames and frameless pockets by DORSIS, universal right-left milled terminals are used; the terminal is cut and placed into the wall, next to the door frame, and mechanically anchored using self-tapping screws inserted into the door frame or pocket profile
  • after the wall is plastered or the drywall panels installed, and after painting and finishing the floor, the prepared design inserts are inserted and glued into the baseboard
