Standard doors end at a height of around 2,1 metres. However, contemporary architecture also works with openings higher than three metres and, in addition, with details where only a thin gap remains visible. In such implementations, the design, technology, precision of processing and the experience of the manufacturer are crucial. Among those who have this experience is the Czech company Dorsis.

Behind every “clean” detail is a series of decisions that are not visible in the final result: the composition of the door leaf, rigidity, edges, machining accuracy and surface stability. The construction is what Dorsis is based on – thanks to it, it can produce doors of above-standard formats with a precise joint, without twisting or any other deformation of the material.

"The quality of a door is determined primarily by what is not visible. The internal structure determines its rigidity, long-term stability and durability," says a technologist at Dorsis.

The manufacturer, which has been operating since 2013, now carries out more than 500 orders per year and employs 65 specialists. In 2025, it opened a new production site, where development, carpentry, metalwork, paint shop and logistics are concentrated under one roof. The company's goal is to have the entire process under control and be able to respond to the specific requirements of individual projects.
