There is a milled half-groove measuring 5×20 mm in the rear part of the insert.
The height of the insert is reduced by approximately 3 mm to allow light to pass through.
The LED strip is glued directly to the skirting board, coordination with the electrical installation is required for connection.

LINUS- A UNIQUE SYSTEM
FLOOR MOLDINGS

The skirting board consists of a hidden aluminum profile combined with a design-variable insert, which in the end forms one plane with the wall - no protrusions, no disturbing elements. In addition, there is no need to solve any problems with peeling or falling strips in the corners or dust deposited on the strips themselves.

HIDDEN FLOOR
LINE BAR

Hidden floor - skirting boards LINUS 13 and LINUS 15 are a design element that, together with the hidden DORSIS door frame, completes a minimalist detail to perfection.
The installed skirting board creates space for installing inserts of various materials. These can be matched to the shade of the floor covering, door or wall.
An LED strip or bar can be inserted into the modified insert, which will create a unique effect with backlighting. To end floor moldings Right-left milled end caps with a length of 480 mm are intended for the concealed DORSIS door frame or the BELPORT frameless housing. This is an aluminum profile intended for anchoring to the wall in the rough construction phase, i.e. before plastering the masonry or sheathing with SDK in dry construction.

  • The rigid construction of the aluminum prol ensures high strength, the total length of the plinth is 2400 mm
  • The plinth is suitable for masonry, SDK partitions and other dry construction and allows the insertion of inserts of various materials.
  • they are installed in masonry partitions using assembly glue, they are anchored in SDK partitions by means of a screw
  • for a different height of the visual insert, the plinth is installed above the level of a clean floor or is sunk into the floor for a lower height
  • Milled end caps (right - left) with a total length of 480 mm are intended for the end of the plinth to a hidden door frame and without a cover sleeve.
  • LED strip for plinth lighting is not included in the delivery and coordination with the electrical installation is required

FLUSH BASEBOARDS FOR SDK AND MASONRY

This is the undisputed advantage of hidden skirting boards. For perfect harmony with the interior, you can choose from 2 types of 8mm thick Alaska white inserts. Do you already have one? Maybe backlit with LED technology?

APPLICATION OF PLASTERS

When applying plaster by machine, the edge of the aluminium profile is used as a plasterer, defining the plane along which the plaster is applied.
The strips are fitted into the structural frame according to the specified height of the visible insert and the floor structure.

SKIRTING BOARD INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

  • We generally recommend installing the skirting board only after pouring the rough floors, anhydride and screeds; this way it is easier to achieve the desired height of the skirting board and design insert
  • the basis is the exact determination of the height of the final floor, the standard height of the bar is 58 mm, for higher plinth heights it is sufficient to anchor the profile above the zero floor, for lower heights the profile is sunk below the zero floor
  • the upper edges of the skirting board profiles must be in a horizontal line, we recommend using a cross laser during installation
  • Before installation, it is necessary to check the flatness of the wall with a spirit level and determine the depth of the plinth accordingly; if the wall is uneven, the plinth needs to be supported from the wall so that the plaster has at least 10 mm at the unevenness point
  • After measuring the required length, cut the skirting board using a suitable tool, we recommend a circular mitre saw with an aluminum cutting blade, the cutting speed will affect the quality of the cut; for the outer corner, cut at a 45° angle, for the inner corner, make a perpendicular cut
  • The cut strip is placed in the desired position and attached to the wall with a suitable adhesive. For SDK partitions, it is anchored to the SDK structure using self-tapping screws.
  • In areas where the brick walls are uneven and in the corners of the room, we recommend anchoring the skirting board mechanically using hammer-in dowels.
  • Universal right-left milled end caps are designed to connect the plinth to the concealed DORSIS door frame and frameless housings; the end cap is cut and placed in the wall to the door frame and mechanically anchored using self-tapping screws to the door frame or housing profile
  • After plastering the wall or applying SDK boards, painting and laying the final floor, prepared design inserts are inserted and glued into the skirting board.
