A place to live
The interior of a modern two-story house on the outskirts of Prague fascinates with its friendliness and exemplary harmony. Proportionality, proportionality and harmony are evident from all angles and in every detail. The birth of a friendly home is an original masterpiece by the architect Martin Frank from the Deconcept studio, which was also created thanks to the perfect harmony with its owners.

The genius loci of the old buildings on the outskirts of Prague in close proximity to a forest with mature pine trees was the impetus for the construction of the new house. The owners, charmed by the place where they managed to buy the land, began to imagine their dream home. They wanted a modern house of reasonable dimensions that would practically meet the requirements of the current family, but would also be functional later, when the children leave it.

Fortius 52 door and concealed frame.

They expected a house that would not be hindered by an old pine tree on the property, where it would be possible to draw energy from the beauty of the surroundings with every look outside. Belgian style house, simple functionalist house with a flat roof. Their vision was finally fulfilled by the architect Viktor Černý, whose elegant, timeless building enables a perfect fusion of the exterior and the interior thanks to the generous glass surfaces.

The intention of the current modifications was to uncover the authentic layer of the original house and restore the atmosphere of the 30s. For the needs of a large family, it was necessary to increase the capacity. The new layer approaches the original parts with piety and respect, but at the same time they are not afraid to assert themselves confidently.

Realization of hidden frames and doors without an upper lintel and sliding doors with a hidden rail in the project of young authors Monika and Mark from the Monmar studio. The authors found an answer to the question of how to combine the life of a young family and work. They designed a house that, in addition to the primary living area, also creates a space for their studio.

Elegance in the interior manifests itself differently in each period - the present day wishes for simplicity and aesthetic purity. Our CEO, Mr. Jan Krejčí, has something to say about it. We talked with him not only about the beauty of minimalism, but mainly about hidden door frames. They represent one of the basic style-creating elements of a modern interior, even if – as Jan Krejčí says – their main mission is not to be seen.
